The Correspondent – Virginia Evans | A Novel

The Correspondent by Virginia Evans is a novel told through letters, exploring human connection, the comfort of literature, and the possibility of forgiveness.

Sybil Van Antwerp has spent her life writing letters to make sense of the world. Her correspondents include family, friends, admired authors, and one person whose letters she never sends. A retired lawyer, mother, and grandmother, she finds familiarity and purpose in this daily ritual.

When correspondence brings painful memories back into her life, Sybil must confront the past and reconsider what she has left unsaid. Through her letters, a story unfolds about aging, friendship, regret, and the small acts of kindness that shape a lifetime.
